501 for 501 Raffle!
About this Contest
Tournaments
Forsyth Area Sports Teams, Inc. - FAST - will have the use of a luxury yacht in the Caribbean for over a year. This yacht sleeps 10
passengers plus crew. In about one year’s time, if the yacht is close to being fully booked each week, we would be able to welcome
over 500 passengers for a week of sailing, scuba, golf and island exploration in the United States Virgin Islands and the British
Virgin Islands.
A nonprofit corporation is commonly called a 501 (c)(3). FAST will draw for 501 passenger spaces for our (501) nonprofit,
or a 501 for 501 Raffle.
There will be 501 individual drawings for these passenger spots and three random drawings for the Grand Prize
winners. The Grand Prize winners will be picked at random from all of the 501 winners. Three Grand prize winners get all expense paid
trips for 2.
For donors of amounts over $2,000. We encourage you to donate your one week golf trips as prizes to other nonprofits holding
tournaments, to community heros, valued employees and especially to deserving individuals who might never get this kind of opportunity.
Each
drawing has a value of $2,000. The $2,000 price for one week aboard the yacht is a very good price when you consider that all of the
accommodations, food, sailing and scuba equipment, including instruction, are included.
There are 2,000 one dollar tickets sold for
each drawing in this raffle. A drawing is held once the pot reaches $2,000. If more than $2,000 is raised, then the overflow starts
a new drawing. If less than $2,000 is raised for that drawing, that drawing can be combined with other drawings to reach the $2,000
goal.
A random drawing is held to determine the winner once the "pot" reaches its $2,000 goal. The odds of winning a drawing are never
less than 1:2,000. The odds of winning are based solely on the number of tickets that you have purchased for that drawing. If you
purchase one ticket, your odds are 1:2,000. If you purchase ten tickets your odds are 1:200. If you purchase 100 tickets your odds
are 1:20. If you purchase 2,000 tickets, then you have shut-out that drawing and you are the winner. For every $2,000 you donate,
you shut-out one drawing and win that passenger spot. Each donation is only good for one drawing.
You can purchase passenger spots
for $2,000 each by shutting out the drawings. This will allow you to arrange for your family and friends to go with you. Ten passenger
spots are available each week. If you purchase 10 passenger spots (by shutting out the drawings), then you have booked the boat for
yourself for a week.
Each prize must be accepted as offered. Prizes have no cash value. Prizes may not be transferred or sold for more
than $2,000 unless it is being sold or auctioned by a nonprofit. All transfers or sales must be approved by Forsyth Area Sports Teams,
Inc. Booking dates aboard the vessel will be determined by Forsyth Area Sports Teams, Inc. Winners will be notified at http://wavetheusaflag.com,
by e-mail, telephone and USPS mail.
Tournaments for Possession of Corporate Golf Balls
The winner of each drawing can enter into a tournament to play for a corporate golf
ball.
Winners of drawings may choose to attack or defend one golf ball. If you choose to attack a golf ball, this means that you intend
to hit it into the ocean. If you intend to defend a golf ball that means that you intend to keep it from being hit into the ocean.
You
get one point for each drawing you win. You can designate this to be an attack or defend point on any one golf ball. You can team
up with other players to win a ball. The team that has the most points played on a ball will win that ball.
Of the team that wins a
ball, the ball will go to the last person on that team to contribute a point.
In the event of a tie score, for example, one attack
point and one defend point, a golf play-off will occur within one month after all of the drawings have been completed. The course
and day, and the number of players will be chosen by the original winner. The competition on that course will be made by the challenger.
It can be for any one hole, any 9 holes or for a complete round of golf. Any players may play for either team.
No corporate balls will
be awarded until all the drawings have been completed.
Booby and Door Prizes.
Other prizes may be awarded to donors and others by surprise,
by competition or at random. These prizes may used for promotion, excitement or for other reasons.
